**Disclaimer: This was a really bad photo, so I purposely gave it an old-timey, Rockwellesque effect.
This is Norwegian troll (I’m referring to the one on the left). He used to live in Nana and Pop’s basement and my cousin Meghan and I were so scared of him that we’d make them hide all the trolls away during our visits. He’s since become a family practical joke. Sort of like the Amélie gnome, but much trashier.~J
Rootie Kazootie makes his second surprise appearance from Debbie to Greg on Christmas 2002.  Click Rootie’s link to see how far the fall was from children’s TV star to reprobate.  At the present writing, Rootie’s whereabouts is a mystery.  He was last seen (and photographed) on a Mardi Gras float in New Orleans. ~G
When I went to Norway on business in 1986, Pop requested that I buy him a troll.  Beats the hell out of me!  Anyway, thusly did Rootie Kazootie become the black sheep of the Engle family.  I misspoke in the previous entry.  Rootie’s Christmas appearance was his third surprise appearance.  His first was during the week of Pop’s funeral, when I found in my bed one night — and quickly ejected him.  The second was in Debbie’s suitcase, when she arrived back in Texas the same week. ~G
